Sat 28 Mar Chelmsford Singers Spring Concert

Chelmsford Singers’ next concert will be on Mar 28th at 7pm at Brentwood Cathedral.

They and their musical director James Davy will be performing David Briggs’s Requiem Mass and other works with the Chelmsford Sinfonietta and choristers from Chelmsford and Brentwood Cathedrals. They will be accompanied on the organ by Hilary Punnett.

David Briggs is an internationally renowned organist whose performances are acclaimed for their musicality, virtuosity, and ability to excite and engage audiences of all ages. Consistently
ranked as one of the finest organists of his generation, David’s extensive repertoire spans five centuries. He has also become one of the foremost organ transcribers of symphonic works, thereby giving listeners the opportunity to experience the organ in a new way.

In addition to the Briggs Mass, they will also be performing Britten’s Hymn to St Peter, Stanford’s Bible Songs and Anthems, Ireland’s Ex Ore Innocentium and Bairstow’s Blessèd City, heav’nly Salem.

Tickets are £15 adult, £5 under 18 and can be purchased from choir members or our website at or call 01245 469141.
