Brentwood Key Centres

Brentwood Town Centre

Brentwood town centre contains over 350 shops, banks, restaurants, including the recently refurbished Baytree Shopping Centre and a major concentration of offices, both large and small. The High Street and adjacent roads form the primary focus of the Borough’s commercial, cultural, religious, leisure and educational life. To the west of the High Street are BT’s impressive offices in London Road.

The Station Area

Warley Hill contains one of the town’s largest neighbourhood shopping centres. The area around Brentwood station, including Warley Hill, contains another large concentration of office development, conveniently located close to the Liverpool Street line station.


The Broadway and Hutton Road focuses on the railway station at Shenfield, this is a very popular neighbourhood shopping centre with a small number of office developments. As the eastern starting point, Shenfield Station also forms a keystone of the impending Crossrail project, which will link Brentwood with Central London, right through to Heathrow, Maidenhead or Abbey Wood.


Ingatestone has the Borough’s largest commercial centre outside the town of Brentwood. It is concentrated on the High Street and offers a mix of individualist shops, offices, pubs and restaurants.


Less than a mile from Brentwood Station is the Warley Business Park, a modern, off-centre office development, home to some of the Borough’s largest companies. Just a little further south is the Ford Motor Company HQ building in Eagle Way.

Brentwood Industrial Estates

West Horndon Industrial Estates


Horndon Industrial Estate has a wide range of industrial units, warehouses, workshops, distribution units, storage yards, secure compounds, and offices to let, from 511sqft to 46,867sqft.


Accessed from Station Road, the estate benefits from excellent communication links with Junction 29 of the M25 located approx. four miles to the west. With Brentwood town centre lieing 6 miles from it.

Hallsford Bridge Industrial Estate


Hallsford Bridge Industrial Estate consists of self contained offices, industrial and warehousing units with on site parking and loading areas.


Situated just off Epping Road (A414) which leads to M11 junction 7. With Brentwood town Centre lieing 3 miles from it.

Childerditch Industrial Park


Childerditch Industrial park is an established business community with a balanced mix of logistical solutions set over 32 acres. Properties include warehouses and industrial buildings ranging from 800sq ft to 23,000 sq ft.

Hutton Industrial Estate

The Hutton Industrial Estate is close to the junction with Wash Road, the latter being a well used link from the A127 Mountnessing Junction. With Brentwood town centre lieing 3 miles to the west of it.

Hubert Road Industrial Estate


Hubert Road Industrial Estate is a commercial and industrial site.


Situated on Hubert Road, immediately off the A1023 (London Road). The A1023 provides direct access to J28 of the M25. With Brentwood Town Centre leing 0.5 miles from it.

Upminster Trading Park


Upminster Trading Park is a popular estate consisting of industrial and trade units. There is also a multi-let self contained office building on site.


The Park is situated approximately half a mile from the A127 and one and a quarter miles from the M25 (Junction 29). With Brentwood town centre lieing 4 miles from it.

Future Employment Sites

Within the central areas of Brentwood and Shenfield there are proposed new employment allocations which will be further office developmenst, including mixed-use developments. These new employment proposals will provide new jobs and boost the local economy.  The new employment land allocations are:

  1. Brentwood Enterprise Park (M25 Junction 29 works site)
  2. Land adjacent to Ingatestone by-pass (part bounded by Roman Road)
  3. Childerditch Industrial Estate (the Range)
  4. Dunton Hills Garden Village strategic allocation
