Brentwood Key Centres

Brentwood Town Centre

Brentwood town centre contains over 350 shops, banks, restaurants, the Baytree Shopping Centre and a major concentration of offices, both large and small. The High Street and adjacent roads form the primary focus of the borough’s commercial, cultural, religious, leisure and educational life. To the west of the High Street is BT’s impressive offices in London Road.

The Station Area

King's Road and Warley Hill is host to one of the town’s largest neighbourhood shopping centres. The area around Brentwood station contains a large concentration of office development, conveniently located close to the Liverpool Street line station.

Shenfield

The Broadway and Hutton Road focuses on the railway station at Shenfield,  This is a very popular neighbourhood shopping destination with a small number of office developments. At the eastern starting point, Shenfield Station also forms a keystone of the Crossrail project, which will link Shenfield, Brentwood with central London, right through to Heathrow and Maidenhead.

Ingatestone

Ingatestone has the borough’s largest commercial centre outside the town of Brentwood. Most of the business premises are concentrated on the High Street, which offers an excellent mix of independent shops, offices, pubs and restaurants.

Warley Business Park

Less than a mile from Brentwood Station is the Warley Business Park, a modern office development that is home to some of the borough’s largest companies.

Brentwood Industrial Estates

Horndon Industrial Estate

Description:

Horndon Industrial Estate has a wide range of industrial units, warehouses, workshops, distribution units, storage yards, secure compounds, and offices to let, from 511 sq ft to 46,867 sq ft.

Location:

Accessed from Station Road, the estate benefits from excellent communication links with Junction 29 of the M25 located approximately four miles to the west.

Hallsford Bridge Industrial Estate

Description:

Hallsford Bridge Industrial Estate consists of self contained offices, industrial and warehousing units with on site parking and loading areas.

Location:

Situated just off Epping Road (A414) which leads to M11 junction 7. 

Childerditch Industrial Park

Description:

Childerditch Industrial park is an established business community with a balanced mix of logistical solutions set over 32 acres. Properties include warehouses and industrial buildings ranging from 800 sq ft to 23,000 sq ft.

Location:

The Park itself is situated just of Childerditch Hall Drive, which is accessible via the A127 (Southend Arterial Road). The A127 provides direct access to the M25.

Description:

Hutton Industrial Estate is a large estate consisting of industrial and trade units.

Location:

The Hutton Industrial Estate is close to the junction with Wash Road, a well-used link from the A12 Mountnessing Junction. 

Hubert Road Industrial Estate

Description:

Hubert Road Industrial Estate is a commercial and industrial site.

Location:

Situated on Hubert Road, immediately off the A1023 (London Road). The A1023 provides direct access to J28 of the M25. 

Upminster Trading Park

Description:

Upminster Trading Park is a popular estate consisting of industrial and trade units. There is also a multi-let self-contained office building on site.

Location:

The Park is situated approximately half a mile from the A127 and one and a quarter miles from the M25 (Junction 29). 

Future Employment Sites

Within the central areas of Brentwood and Shenfield there are proposed new employment allocations,including mixed-use developments. These new employment proposals will provide new jobs and boost the local economy.
